Dickinson Blogs

As the Media and Communcations intern at The Center for Sustainability Education (CSE), I created, wrote, managed, and published five blogs. During my experiences at COP20 and COP21, I helped maintain and post to our delegation's blog. During my Writing Science News course at Dickinson, our class hosted a blog site for science communications.

Blogs are - yet again - another excellent resource for communications.

All blog links are featured below. Enjoy.

Biking @ Dickinson

The Center for Sustainability Education (CSE) hopes to use this blog to increase knowledge of biking-related opportunities and resources for the Dickinson College community. Check out this Biking @ Dickinson blog for updates on events, programs, local routes or ways to get involved, with or without a bike of your own. Everything you need is right here!

PA Power Dialog

I built this blog for the PA Power Dialouge. Over two hundred Pennsylvania college and university students will attend the PA Power Dialog to engage in meaningful dialog with state regulators, legislators and peers about the federal Clean Power Plan and its implementation in Pennsylvania. The Dialog is sponsored by the Pennsylvania Environmental Resource Consortium (PERC) and organized by a planning team that includes Dickinson College, Millersville University, Penn State University, Ursinus College, Villanova University and Widener University School of Law.

COP 20: Global Climate Change Mosaic

Welcome to Dickinson College’s Global Climate Change Mosaic Blog! We are a group of Dickinson College students and faculty members who attended COP20 in Lima, Peru as part of a 2-semester program of intensive study and research about global climate change science, risks to people and planet, and governance. In the 3 months leading up to COP20, we posted our pre-COP reflections and analyses to the blog. While at the COP we interviewed conference delegates for a team research project on governing climate change, and posted our observations of the negotiations as they unfolded at the conference. Videos and audio files of our interviews are available on the site, as will our post-COP reflections and research findings.

Perspectives on COP 21

Welcome to Dickinson College's COP21 Blog! We are a group of current Dickinson students, recent graduates, and faculty who will attend COP21 in Paris, France. We invite you to comment and blog with us as we prepare for the negotiations in Paris. Please, feel free to follow us through the Center for Sustainability Education at Dickinson (CSE) social media (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.) as our delegation travels to the conference. #OnTheRoadToParis

Writing Science News

In the spring of 2016, I participated in the Writing Science News course at Dickinson College. Every week we posted about a "beat" that interested us, mine was climate change.
